Melanie is a solicitor and has a degree in Business Law. She joined Davies Battersby in 2007 and specialises in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration including claims in the Business and Property Court and High Court and appeals under the Arbitration Act 1996.
She has conducted arbitration appeals, an appeal to the Appeal Court, applications for freezing injunctions, applications to convert arbitration awards into judgments and cases in the High Court. She also has experience in mediation and ADR. Her notable cases include Fehn Schiffahrts GmbH & Co KG v Romani SpA [2018] EWHC 1606 (Comm) and Trans-Oil International SA v Savoy Trading LP and Ivan Melnykov [2020] EWHC 57 (Comm).
She is a member of the Women Lawyers’ Division and the Civil Litigation Section.
